The European Gas Infrastructure for Interconnectivity and Interoperability Forum was a huge success, with an impressive line up of more than 45 senior industry experts from across Europe in attendance. The three days were packed with interesting presentations, debates, questions & answers, networking, and more…

The first day started off with a beautiful morning in Rome and a keynote address from Carlo Crea from ICER, he addressed the importance of creating an integrated gas infrastructure for ensuring security of supply for Europe. Other morning presentations reiterated similar issues and highlighted challenges and solutions for gas supply netowrks in Europe. The afternoon presentations focused on the more technical issues of infrastructure financing, gas pricing and trading, – some sessions also saw active involvement and questions from the audience.

Day two split into three streams, focusing on pipelines, LNG and gas storage. As on the previous day, all the participants benefited from not only the presenters’ but also sharing each others’ knowledge, ideas, and strategies — this time within smaller more focused groups and in a more interactive environment.

The third and last day had two popular workshops on small scale LNG and auctioning for gas storage.
